Established in AD 1023, St. Mary's Forane Church, Muttom—famously known as Muttath Palli—stands as one of Cherthala’s oldest and most sacred landmarks. Rebuilt in the 17th century with a blend of Portuguese artistic craft and traditional Kerala architecture, this historic sanctuary under the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly has served as a beacon of faith, unity, and spiritual renaissance for over a millennium. The establishment of the shrine of Mother Mary Immaculate in 1904 further transformed Muttom into a renowned pilgrimage center, drawing people of all faiths and backgrounds together in prayer.
Rooted in this rich heritage, our schools were born from the deep conviction that spiritual care and social upliftment must go hand in hand. Pioneering clergy, dedicated trustees (Kaikkarans), and visionary lay leaders of the parish recognized that quality education was the single most effective path to community development. Historic figures associated with the parish, including Servant of God Monsignor Joseph Kandathil during his time at Muttom in the 1940s, helped ignite a lasting commitment to social welfare, health, and learning across the region.
Driven by this collective spirit and community stewardship, the parish officially established its school institutions in 1974. What began as a single educational effort fueled by faith and local dedication has since grown into a thriving family of four institutions. Today, our schools proudly carry forward the legacy of our founders—nurturing young minds in academic excellence, character, discipline, and compassionate service to society.

Built in AD 1023, St. Mary's Forane Church — known locally as Muttath Palli, Muttom, Cherthala — stands as a symbol of strong Christian faith and the spiritual renaissance of Muttom. Rebuilt around 1600 under Portuguese artistry, it is one of the most beautiful and largest churches in the region.
The statue of Mother Mary Immaculate, established in 1904, makes Muttom a famous pilgrim centre where people of all faiths come to pray. Everything seen here wordlessly speaks of history and heritage.
St. Mary's Forane Church belongs to the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly of the Syro-Malabar Church. The Archdiocese has a long and distinguished tradition of service in education, healthcare and social upliftment across Kerala, and our schools are proud to carry forward that mission.
